Xbox President Sarah Bond announced a strategic multi-year partnership with AMD to collaborate on next-generation Xbox gaming consoles. She also revealed that the next-generation device lineup will include not just traditional consoles, but also portable devices, PCs, cloud services, and various accessories.
According to Sarah Bond, the AMD partnership will deliver "next-generation graphics innovation," enabling higher visual fidelity, "immersive gameplay," and other advancements - including through AI integration.
In a brief video, Bond also confirmed backward compatibility will remain a cornerstone of the next Xbox generation. She emphasized that new Xbox hardware will maintain compatibility with existing game libraries.
Finally, the announcement highlighted Xbox's commitment to platform-agnostic accessibility, noting the Xbox team is working closely with Windows to make Microsoft's operating system the ultimate gaming platform.
