Microsoft has announced that the "Maps" app for Windows 10 and Windows 11 will be removed from the Microsoft Store in July 2025. Along with this, the company will release an update that will render the installed app completely useless. This information is available on the support website.
After July 2025, you won't be able to reinstall the "Maps" app, even if you previously had it installed. If you don't manually uninstall the app, it will retain saved navigation routes and map URLs, but you won't be able to use them within the application.
It's worth noting that the web version of Bing Maps will still be available at bing.com/maps.
