Microsoft Office

Microsoft has announced unexpectedly that Microsoft 365 (Office) apps for Windows 10 will continue receiving security updates for three years after the operating system's end of support. These updates will be delivered through standard channels until October 10, 2028.

To ensure security during the transition to Windows 11, Microsoft will continue providing security updates for Microsoft 365 apps on Windows 10 for three years after Windows 10's end of support. These updates will be delivered through standard update channels and will conclude on October 10, 2028.

Previously, the company had planned to discontinue Office app support for Windows 10 simultaneously with the operating system's end of support on October 14, 2025.

At the same time, Microsoft strongly recommends that users and businesses migrate to Windows 11 to avoid potential performance and software stability issues in the future.
