↑ Phased Rollout Features

The following new features are being rolled out gradually and may not be immediately available to all users.

• Copilot:
  • Windows Copilot can now be launched using Win + C. Customize this shortcut via Settings → Personalization → Text Input → "Configure Copilot keyboard key". Enterprise administrators can find additional information here.
  • Hold the Copilot key or Win + C for two seconds to start voice conversations. Press Esc or remain silent to end. Alternatively, use Alt + Space for hands-free interaction.
• Taskbar Search:
  • Enhanced web search in the European Economic Area (EEA) with improved third-party search engine support and simplified configuration.
• Settings:
  • Added an FAQ section at Settings → System → About with troubleshooting information about system configuration, performance, and compatibility.
• Taskbar:
  • Administrators can now allow users to unpin specific applications permanently using the PinGeneration policy. Details available here.
• Widgets:
  • Customizable Weather widget on lock screen via Settings → Personalization → Lock Screen → "Customize widget" in the Weather widget's advanced options.
• Share:
  • Dragging local files now triggers a top-screen sharing panel showing target apps. Select "More" (...) to open the traditional Share dialog.
• Input:
  • Fixed voice typing activation issues with Chinese (Simplified) narrow touch keyboard layout.
  • Resolved character panel navigation accidentally inserting symbols in password fields.
• Voice Access:
  • Addressed "working on it" freezes during text dictation.

• BSOD:
  • Fixed SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (win32kfull.sys) crashes on certain devices.
• HoloLens:
  • Resolved HoloCamera image saving failures due to folder access issues affecting Mixed Reality Capture.
• Memory Leak:
  • Addressed input service memory leaks affecting performance in multi-user, multilingual, and Remote Desktop scenarios.
• COSA:
  • Updated Country and Operator Settings Asset (COSA) profiles for select mobile carriers.
• Windows Shell:
  • Fixed Explorer and Start menu crashes when devices were Azure AD-joined.
• Windows Update:
  • Resolved WSUS upgrade failures to Windows 11 24H2 (error 0×80240069 with "wuauserv unexpectedly stopped" messages).
