Rollout Features

  • Click to Do (Preview):
    • Ask Copilot – A new Click to Do action available when selecting text or images. It opens Microsoft Copilot with the selected content pre-loaded in the input field for further queries.
    • Text smart actions in Click to Do are now available on AMD/Intel Copilot+ PCs. Use Win + Mouse Click or Win + Q to select text blocks, then choose options like summarization, bullet-point conversion, or formal rewriting.
    • Click to Do now supports the European Economic Area (EEA), expanding text smart action availability.
    • Pen users can now assign Click to Do to pen shortcuts (single/double-click or hold) via Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Pen & Windows Ink.
    • Click to Do can now be added to Windows Ink Workspace (taskbar) as one of four quick-launch apps (replacing existing slots if full).
    • Added Spanish and French language support for text smart actions.
  • Copilot:
    • New Win + C shortcut to launch Copilot. Customize the keybind via Settings > Personalization > Text Input > "Configure Copilot keyboard key". Enterprise admins: see management docs.
    • Hold the Copilot key (or Win + C) for 2 seconds to start voice conversations. Press Esc or pause to exit. Alternatively, use Alt + Space for voice queries during tasks.
  • Cross Device Resume:
    • Seamlessly continue editing OneDrive files (e.g., Word docs) from Android/iOS devices on Windows 11 PCs. Notifications prompt resumption if files were accessed within 5 minutes before PC unlock.
  • Battery Saver:
    • New Microsoft Intune management for Battery Saver settings, allowing IT admins to control via Group Policy/MDM. Limits background activity and screen brightness while maintaining performance.
Policy path: Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Power Management > Battery Saver > "Enable persistent battery saver mode".
  • Graphics:
    • Clarified "Use HDR" label with better media format explanations.
    • Added HDR video streaming support even when HDR is disabled.

    • Redesigned printer rename dialog (Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners).
    • Mouse settings migrated from Control Panel to Accessibility > Mouse and Accessibility > Mouse pointer & touch (incl. pointer trails, hover activation timing). Updated "Pointer speed" icon.
  • Taskbar:
