- Draft with Copilot in Word. Ever had a great idea you wanted to write about immediately? The new "Draft with Copilot in Word" feature in Click to Do lets you do just that. Generate text based on anything - a sentence from an email or on-screen text fragment. Just use Win + mouse click on recognized text and select "Draft with Copilot in Word" to get a draft version. No blank pages. No writer's block.
Microsoft will begin rolling out these Microsoft 365 text actions in coming weeks. "Draft with Copilot in Word" requires Microsoft 365 Copilot subscription.
Quick Machine Recovery (QMR) - part of the Windows Resiliency Initiative announced at Ignite 2024 - is now available in the latest Windows 11 Dev channel build.
The Settings app now includes a dedicated QMR page under System > Recovery, simplifying recovery management with easy access to critical maintenance features.
QMR helps restore device functionality when common Windows boot issues occur, with remediation packages distributed through Windows Update.
The new page lets users check QMR status, configure automatic fix searches, set scan frequency, and schedule reboot times for applying fixes.
IT professionals can manage QMR settings centrally via Microsoft Intune. See documentation: RemoteRemedationCSP.
Insiders can now test QMR and submit feedback via Feedback Hub.
The "Quick machine recovery update for Windows 11" package installs automatically when enabling Test Mode. Verify installation at Settings > Windows Update > Update History under "Updates".
Note: QMR package visibility in Update History is undergoing A/B testing, so not all Dev channel Insiders will see it listed.
Microsoft continues enhancing the Widgets panel, now adding support for multiple dashboards to accommodate more favorite widgets while maintaining news feed access.
Switch between dashboards like "My Feed" and other integrated dashboards using the left-side navigation panel.
Previously only available to EEA Insiders.
