Windows Insider Program 11
Content:
Microsoft has released a new Windows 11 preview build 27881 for Windows Insiders on the Canary channel.
Full build number: 10.0.27881.1000.rs_prerelease.250613-1454.
Based on user feedback, Microsoft is introducing a new setting to control profanity filtering for voice typing. When enabled, the "Voice Typing" feature will continue filtering swear words by replacing them with asterisks. When disabled, profanity will be transcribed as spoken.
To adjust this setting, launch Voice Typing with Win + H, navigate to settings, and toggle the "Filter profanity" option.

Microsoft introduced "Speech Recap," a new Narrator feature that tracks and provides quick reference to spoken content. Using simple keyboard shortcuts, users can access narration history, view real-time transcripts, and copy recently spoken text.

Open Speech Recap with Narrator key + Alt + X to view the last 500 lines of Narrator output. Note that content refreshes with each Narrator session. Standard reading commands and arrow keys navigate the Speech Recap window.
To copy the last spoken phrase without opening Speech Recap, use Narrator key + Ctrl + X.
Practical applications include:
- Referencing help tips heard when opening new windows
- Copying spoken error codes
- Incorporating Narrator output into training materials

Real-time transcription benefits assistive technology instructors, teachers for visually impaired students (TSVIs), and hearing-impaired professionals using Narrator. Pin the Speech Recap window (Narrator key + Alt + X) to monitor live transcripts during tasks.
These intuitive shortcuts follow a consistent pattern:
- Ctrl + Win + Enter = Toggle Narrator
- Narrator key + X = Repeat last phrase
- Narrator key + Ctrl + X = Copy last phrase
- Narrator key + Alt + X = Open Speech Recap
