Microsoft has released a new Windows 11 preview build 26200.5661 (KB5060838) for Windows Insiders on the Dev channel.
Microsoft introduced a personalized homepage for the Recall feature, enabling users to quickly access important apps and websites. This dashboard displays:
- Recent snapshots: Latest Recall captures to resume interrupted tasks
- Top apps/sites: Your three most-used applications and websites from the past 24 hours
Users can configure Recall's capture settings in Settings > Privacy & security > Recall. Details available on Microsoft's support page.

A new navigation panel (left-side) provides quick access to Recall's core functions: Home, Timeline, Feedback, and Settings.
Users can now reposition brightness/volume/airplane mode/virtual desktop indicators to:
- Top-left corner
- Top-center
- Bottom-center (default)
Configure in Settings > System > Notifications under "Popup indicator position."

- Start Menu:
- Configure Start Pins policy now includes "First login only" option via Group Policy or CSP.
- File Explorer:
- Reintroduced AI actions (previously seen in build 26200.5603) after temporary removal.
- Settings:
- Added original setup region information in Settings > Time & language > Language & region.
- General:
- Fixed text input issues in Search, Chinese Pinyin IME, clipboard history, and emoji panel.
- Taskbar:
- Resolved explorer.exe crashes for Italian language users.
- File Explorer:
- Fixed Home view displaying only one folder (e.g., Desktop)
- Improved performance when navigating SharePoint-synced locations
- Settings:
- Corrected update history sorting in Settings > Windows Update > Update history > Uninstall updates
- General:
- Restored Windows 11 startup sound (replacing accidental Vista sound)
- Fixed "Reset this PC" functionality in Settings > System > Recovery
- Resolved "UNSUPPORTED_PROCESSOR" errors on KVM virtual machines
- Addressed recurring GSOD (KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE) for some Dev channel users
- General:
- [Note] Dev channel requires two-step update (Build 26200.5641 first)
- System reset may revert build number to 26100 (doesn't affect future updates)
- Some installations may fail with error 0×80070005 and roll back
- Start Menu:
- Touch navigation limitations (swipe-up unsupported)
- Restricted drag-and-drop from "All apps" to "Pinned"
- Occasional duplicate folder items
- Xbox Controllers:
- Bluetooth connections may cause GSOD - uninstall oemXXX.inf (XboxGameControllerDriver.inf) via Device Manager
- Click to Do:
- Initial text actions may lag on AMD/Intel Copilot+ PCs
- File Explorer AI:
- Narrator scan mode issues with Microsoft 365 document summaries (use Caps Lock + → to navigate)
- Widgets:
- Pinning reverts to legacy Widgets panel temporarily
