Microsoft has begun rolling out the stable version of Microsoft Edge 135 (135.0.3179.54), which includes several new features, improvements, and bug fixes.
Root Certificate Store Update. Microsoft Edge's root certificate store operates based on the Microsoft Trusted Root Program. A recent update means certificates will no longer be trusted by default if they're verified by one of the listed Entrust root certificates and the earliest Signed Certificate Timestamp (SCT) has a date after April 16, 2025, 7:00:00 UTC. Enterprises using websites with affected certificates should obtain and deploy new certificates unaffected by this change before the specified date. Alternatively, enterprises can override this restriction by installing the relevant root certificate as a locally trusted root certificate in the operating system. Enterprises choosing this option should carefully evaluate the associated risks.
