Microsoft has confirmed that the Edge browser and the WebView2 Runtime component for Windows 10 will continue to receive new features and security updates until at least October 2028. Importantly, access to these updates will not require a paid subscription to Microsoft’s Extended Security Updates (ESU) program, which is offered for Windows 10 itself.
It is worth noting that other browsers, including Google Chrome, Firefox, and Opera, will also continue supporting Windows 10 after Microsoft ends official support for the operating system.
